Door Supervision (Refresher)

The new SIA "Refresher" Training for Door Supervisors Upskilling Course is required for Door Supervisors who need to renew their license after 1st October 2022.

This course will equip you with the knowledge and regulations required to continue working as a Door Supervisor, by choosing this course you can maintain your SIA license and enhance your professional capabilities in the private security industry.

Learners must hold a full Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification issued on or after April 1st 2021, or hold an older qualification supported by a 'Top up' qualification to achieve equivalency.

Unfortunately, learners who hold a qualification issued prior to April 1st 2021 and have not completed a 'Top up' qualification are not eligible to complete this 'Refresher' qualification and are required to take the full Level 2 Door Supervisor course again.

Learners who are successful in achieving this qualification will become eligible to apply for an SIA licence to practice within the private security industry in the United Kingdom, supporting a role in the workplace.

This qualification is for learners who already hold a Door Supervisor licence and are required to complete the ‘Refresher’ qualification to support relicensing, available from the 1st of October 2024.

It is important to remember for this qualification to be recognised by the SIA licencing system, one of the following scenarios must be applicable:

The learner has a valid SIA Door Supervisor qualification issued on or after April 1st 2021.
The learner has a valid SIA Door Supervisor qualification issued before April 1st 2021, and has an SIA Door Supervisor (Top Up) qualification.
They must have passed a level 2 first aid course before starting the refresher training.
