Close Protection

The private security industry is growing rapidly, creating an excellent opportunity to undergo training and apply for an SIA Close Protection license. Due to a shortage of high-quality operators in the industry, there are numerous job openings available.

A career in security is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about safeguarding their assets and the community.

The SIA Close Protection Officer Training Course is the perfect choice for those who want to pursue a career in the security industry, with a focus on close protection or bodyguard roles. Whether you're a beginner, an experienced security professional, or a former armed forces or police personnel, this course is suitable for you.

To book and undertake this course, you must be over 18 years of age. In addition, it is also mandatory for all students to have completed a 3-day first-aid qualification and the ACT security awareness course before they can begin the course.

If you don't already hold the required first aid qualification, there is also an option of taking either the 3-day First Aid at Work course or the 4-day First Responder Emergency Care (FREC) course before starting your training.

Depending on your requirements, the CP course can be completed in just 18 days, and upon completion of your exam will receive the required qualification to apply for your licence and start your new career.

You will need to bring evidence of completion of the Level 3 First Aid course on the first day of your CP course.

See what our students have to say.

I recently attended the three day First Aid at Work course and have to say it was the best course hands down I have ever attended.

The instructor was great at explaining things and took his time to make sure we all knew what we had to do to pass our assessment.
