SIA Door Supervisor Refresher Training – 3rd to 4th December 2025

This is the last course in 2025

The SIA Door Supervisor Refresher Course is mandatory for all Door Supervisors renewing their SIA licence after 1st October 2022.

This course is designed to update your skills, knowledge, and understanding of current regulations, enabling you to maintain your licence and continue working within the private security industry.


Course Dates & Structure

  • Dates: 3rd to 4th 2025
  • Duration: 2 consecutive weekdays
  • Daily schedule: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm with a 30-minute lunch break

Eligibility Requirements

To enrol on this course, you must:

  • Hold a Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification issued on or after 1st April 2021, OR
  • Hold an older qualification with a valid Top-Up qualification completed

Learners with a qualification issued before 1st April 2021 who have not completed a Top-Up course must take the full Level 2 Door Supervisor qualification instead.


First Aid Requirement

Before starting the refresher course, you must hold a valid Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAAW) certificate.

  • If you need to renew your first aid qualification, we can bundle it into your DS Refresher training.
  • There is an EFAAW course on 11th August that can be booked alongside your Refresher training.

Certification & Licensing

After successful completion and marking of your assessments:

  • You will receive your certificate
  • This will allow you to renew your SIA licence
  • A step-by-step guide is available on our blog to help with the renewal process

FAQ

  • Licence Validity: SIA licences last 3 years before renewal is required
  • Eligibility: You must hold an active licence or one that has lapsed by no more than 3 years
  • Course Format: A mixture of PowerPoint presentations and practical assessments
  • Assessment: Two multiple-choice exams (MCQs) must be passed to complete the course
