In a world crowded with training providers, standing out is crucial for attracting the right audience. With an overwhelming number of options, how can learners tell what's truly different?

Many training programs offer generic, one-size-fits-all solutions that overlook the unique needs of participants. We aim to change this by providing tailored training experiences that promote innovation and personal growth, and with numerous training providers out there, it’s vital to highlight what makes our offerings not just different but exceptional.

Thinking outside the box.


A key component of what sets us apart is our dedication to customised learning paths.


While many training providers use standard out-of-the-box training solutions, we take time to evaluate each learner's specific goals and needs and tailor the solution to meet them. For example, we were recently approached by a client who required a conflict management and physical intervention training solution, they needed all their staff to be singing from the same hymn sheet so we needed to create a training plan for their staff within the organisation, from the individuals on the ground through to supervisors and senior management.


Their previous training provider had opted for an out-of-the-box solution which was outdated so we had to provide them with an update on various things including law and legislation relating to physical intervention, customer service and negotiation and how to best communicate with people to help manage and reduce conflict.


When the request landed in my inbox and I started reading it I thought "We have this cracked" Then I got to the last paragraph which read something like this.


" The main issue we will have is getting all the staff together at the same time to complete the training, as they all work on different shifts across three different locations"


Through our personalised approach, we provided a solution that focused on blended learning, we created in effect two separate courses, one that they could do online and complete in their own time at their own pace which would, in turn, reduce the number of hours we needed to be face to face with them and the second face to face at times that they could attend.


When we presented our solution it was an instant winner that ticked all the boxes, and we won the contract of the back of what we provided which was achieved by thinking outside of the box.

For example, during our recent door supervisor training, participants worked on real-life scenarios, role-playing different situations. This hands-on approach helped them remember techniques much better than traditional lectures.

Prior to setting up James Consulting I worked for several companies delivering their various training packages and found it annoying when things were added which while they looked good on the outside and made a great Facebook photo had absolutely no bearing on the training I was delivering.


The training we deliver is what is mandated by the various awarding bodies, and while we make the training fun and fulfilling, we stick to the programme in order to allow the students taking part in the training every chance of passing the course.
